Norval Morrisseau, also known as Copper Thunderbird, was an Indigenous Canadian artist. Known as the "Picasso of the North"Morrisseau founded the Woodlands School of Canadian art and was a prominent member of the "Indian Group Of Seven".
Complex piece with multiple images. Full signature on right.This piece includes a 2014 appraisal for $1500.00.
Note: to the left of the signature they're a few small spots, possibly glue or resin. These were present prior to the appraisal in 2014 as evident in the original appraisal photo which will be included. Bit of splitting to the bark.
